Talent development in Twente - how do you combine your study, part-time job and professional development?

At TRIMM, we believe that companies have a strong responsibility to train talent. That is why we have been investing since 2006 in young talent with our subsidiary PIT: Professionals in Training! Read in this blog what 'pitting' at TRIMM can mean for you.

Our talent program

As a student, you will find yourself at TRIMM in the talent program 'PIT'. You can work as an intern, graduate or student employee. At TRIMM, we have a variety of craftmanships, including: cloud hosting, digital marketing, software testing or engineering, front-end web development, DevOps and SysOps, user interface design (UI design) and user experience design (UX design).

When you start working at TRIMM, you will become a full member of one of our project teams, in which you will be working on projects for large (international) customers. During your work, you will receive guidance from experienced professionals, so that you have every opportunity to optimally develop your skills. The level of difficulty of the work they allow you to do is often just a little higher than what you think you can handle: in our opinion, there is no better way to learn and develop!

We strongly believe that talented and ambitious students are entitled to an optimal workplace and learning environment. And we provide that environment!

Investment in talent

Because we have been investing in talent development since 2006, you can see that there is a lot of attention for students at all levels of the organisation. New talent is really appreciated! You won't be bringing coffee around all day, you are part of a team and will do actual work for our clients. You can contact anyone with your questions. All TRIMM colleagues are open to exchange ideas or questions, and take the time to support you.

It's useful to know that PIT pays all the costs for guidance; this means that TRIMM employees don't have to balance between paid work and guiding students. PIT is our way of contributing to talent development in the region. We believe that offering good preparation for the labour market is not only a matter for schools, but also for the business community.

Personal development

If you are still studying or at the beginning of your career, it is also valuable to pay attention to personal development. To this end, PIT offers the opportunity to participate in intervision, courses and knowledge lunches. With an intervision you are with a group of about six participants (students and young professionals) we meet every week for an hour to talk about all kinds of subjects that concern us. In this way, we help each other with new insights into motivation, study discipline, giving feedback and working in an efficient and structured manner.

Start your career at TRIMM!

Are you ambitious and looking for a place where you can grow? That is also possible! If we notice during the internship that things are going well between you and TRIMM, there is often the possibility to stay as a student employee after your internship. In that case, for example, you can continue to work twelve hours a week in the same team for a good salary. Is there a match between you and TRIMM? Then you may even get the chance to get a permanent job after graduation. This is not uncommon: about a third of TRIMM's employees once started as PIT'er at TRIMM!
