TRIMM wins Dutch Interactive Award

Enschede, 27 May 2016 – TRIMM won a silver Dutch Interactive Award (DIA) in the category B2B. The web agency from Enschede received the price for the online management tool Hosted Calling which they designed and built for their customer Ziggo. Marc Woesthuis, director of TRIMM: “We are very proud that, for the second time, we won a DIA. We work very hard to create and realize the best solutions for our customers and therefore this price is the best compliment we can get.”

The judges motivated their choice for TRIMM as follows: “Good case and pretty intelligent how a tool is able to implement a multibrand and country strategy with customers.”

Ziggo, part of Liberty Global, recently started offering hosted Private Branch Exchange services. This type of service is aimed at businesses, and replaces an analogue switchboard with a virtual one, saving costs. TRIMM developed an easy to use self-care environment for managing this service, which can be used by several brands of Liberty Global, the parent company of Ziggo.

Thanks to the work of TRIMM, Liberty Global was able to make the leap from an outdated, difficult to use application, to one that all user groups found easy and pleasant to use. The learning curve to work with the self-care environment is significantly shortened. This also led to significant reduction of the learning curve for the self-care environment. Currently, the application is already being used by 500 companies situated in the Netherlands. This result was achieved without any additional marketing or sales efforts. Enthusiasm is building in different countries as well, which leads us to believe that adoption levels will be high. Roll out to Ireland, Romania, Poland, and Germany will begin shortly. One indirect result is that Liberty Global was able to position itself ahead of its competitors in the market, thanks to a design and user experience that users described as “best in class”.

Furthermore, Liberty Global experienced hands-on that a user-focused approach to application development projects is crucial to success. Good reason to equip other self-care environments with a user-focused interface.

“From our customers’ reactions, we already noticed that the solution was appreciated as an application, but also in being user-friendly. With this acknowledgement this will be noticed in the market and as a team we are of course very happy with that”, says Lasse Licht, Interaction Designer TRIMM.

In 2014, TRIMM also won a B2B Dutch Interactive Award for the Victron Remote Management application of Victron Energy. TRIMM was responsible for the design and technical realization of this application. This Internet of Things application makes it possible to quickly and user friendly check the actual status of an installation or to change a configuration. This ensures that by using this online platform, controllers of electrical installations can do their work quickly and efficiently.

The Dutch Interactive Awards took place for the seventh time and are an initiative of the online business title Emerce and the branch organization for web agencies DDA.
